Ok, it was suggested I watch The Changling and The Legacy (1978). Anybody got a review

With Halloween coming up I recommend Trick R Treat. It's an excellent Halloween anthology film.

And for fun nostalgia times Trick Or Treat from the 80's..its terrible but awesome at the same time.

Started watching it. Turned it off quickly. It's absolutely vile, and no one should watch it.

I sat all the way thru Salo, and while I don't recommend it, at least there is some art to that film. A Serbian Film has nothing that redeems it, at all.

Would you put it on the same level as human centipede?

I couldn't get past the second scene in Salo...when they served dinner

Major spoilers, but just so you know what you're getting yourself into.

A guy rapes a newborn baby right after delivering it. A woman is raped as she is being raped the guy cuts her head off with a machete and continues to rape. A guy sticks his erection into another guys eye socket to kill him.

The first scene mentioned I wanted to warn about because I know a few people that were really mad about it and understandably so.

The newborn porn was when I turned it off. As soon as i realized what was about to happen I hit stop. I was just done.

It's appalling.

What I hate about "body horror" (the industry-preferred term for torture porn) as a genre, even when it's not so patently offensive like A Serbian Film, is that it's never actually scary. There wasn't a moment of ASF that was even remotely scary. Same goes for Human Centipede, Saw and Hostel. Pushing the limits of decency just to do it is not scary. Why are we lumping this crap in with legitimate horror?

Well I think your answer is in your post. It's considered body horror. Or shock horror. Hostel, Green inferno, Candy... All are what I would consider horrific stories
