me too. sunday was a terrible day. i also got a question. i hunt in middle tennessee, certainly not big buck country, but i thought that they should be in rut right about now. i'm not a hunting expert but i enjoy going with my old man (about the only time we get together anymore) and we usually see bucks chasing does the weekend before thanksgiving which is when i have killed most of my deer. are they not in rut right now? or should i just find another spot? ha

Dont worry! The moon and the weather combined has the deer messed up. When these two fronts get through the area, we should be good. Friday and Saturday should be on. Lows will be in the 20's, so the deer movement should pick up.

My oldest killed a 7 point Sunday evening. We were walking in when he stepped out in a field road. Deer movement has been really slow in West Tn.

My son and I killed 3 does Sat. I think the rut is about to go crazy this weekend.

Shot a doe yesterday evening and my dad killed a nice 8 point this evening chasing a doe

You're right, this weekend should really get the bucks cranked up.

I haven't been in the woods all week.

I'm going tomorrow afternoon and Saturday.

Then next week I'm hunting pretty much everyday. I'm waiting on the city of Paris to give us the go ahead on remodeling a bank. If they drag their feet, I'm hunting all weekend too.

Ducks are about to start dying too.

I saw about 500 geese Tuesday evening. This front shold get somemore down

I've been watching about 200 hit a cut cornfield about twice a week.

Cold, rainy days and they are gorging on old corn. I'll be hitting that up soon.

I've got one other spot that's just now getting some water in it after all this rain.

Do you duck hunt much?

Took two does yesterday morning. Guy on farm next to us killed a massive 8 point. He didnt shoot it until about 10:00am. Heard a lot of duck hunters in Hatchie bottom.

I got a 125 inch 8 pt early in November and of course the mininite on the neighboring farm killed the 150 inch buck! Had a friend whos father killed a cactus buck also, weirdest, ugliest, most massive deer I've ever seen.

Yeah that is pretty much what it is. Once it started growing its horns it never lost them. I have no clue how many points he even is bc its hard to count all of them, but he has 10 inch bases and is solid velvet. Ill upload a picture soon so everbody can see how odd it looks.
