Even if true... and the alleged meeting with "anti-Trump Ukrainian officials" looks sketchy. That still doesn't change the fact that the whistleblower's complaint was correct on the substance of the July 25th phone call between Donald Trump and the Ukrainian President Zelensky. The transcript of that phone call confirmed that this person must have been using a source for information close to Trump or at least to the Trump administration. The whistleblower's identity really doesn't matter anymore, because even a confirmed bias would no longer discredit 3 key points of information which have already been established as factual either by the transcript of the phone call itself or by the Trump administration's own admissions:
1) Trump did request that Zelensky assist his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, in an investigation of the Bidens.
2) The Trump administration did load the transcript of the July 25th phone call into a separate electronic system that is otherwise used to store and handle classified information of an especially sensitive nature, even though, the transcript did not contain any classified "factual" material that would have justified a move to a more secure server.
3) Just a few days prior to the July 25th call, Trump had placed a hold on military aid to the Ukraine which Congress had already approved. This was not publicly known on July 25th.
The "whistleblower" didn't just guess these things. The "whistleblower" clearly had a solid source who was privy to the July 25th phone call. Trump is lying when he says that the whistleblower complaint is "fiction" or that the whistleblower complaint was mostly wrong. This story has legs only because the "whistleblower" got it right and the whistleblower protocol that is in place, worked as it should. Trump and his administration would have never made these admissions unless they had to.
