The Impeachment Thread

A member of the US Intelligence Community. Do you even know what that means? Do you know what they did? A janitor at the NSA is a member of the intelligence community.

Bro...I'm going to let you in on a secret: Nothing. Is. Going. To. Happen. No matter how much you wish, your hopes and dreams solely reside on the 2020 election. Better get out there and canvas!
We will see... this feels different than other Trump scandals.

Ok. So I’m circling back around to the first question hoping it will be clearer now what I’m asking:

Why do you think it matters that all of them do it in the context of this conversation?

What was the purpose does it serve to make that point?

Honest question. I had assumed I understood where you were going, but maybe I was wrong.

I was basically just bitching to be honest . It’s the same thing daily in here for the most part . I have a growing loathing for all of them . Our congress is a joke . We can pick apart any and all presidents for the stupid things they do but congress is supposed to set the discussion to make the laws that make our country better . Believe it or not radical changes is not what we need to get both sides to work together on issues . Congress doesn’t need the president ( any president ) to do their jobs . They need to work together .

Um...........thats what all Presidents do. Is that illegal? Pushing your parties agenda? Asking for a friend who lives under a rock..
That is not what all presidents do and yes, bribery is illegal - a felony, in fact. He wasn't pushing his parties agenda. He was pushing his own selfish, personal agenda. This wasn't about policy.

He asked the Ukranian president to investigate his political rival. That alone should result in removal from office.

And from there, only a fool would believe the delay in the aid package wasn't a part of that, even if not explicitly part of that call.
How many things can you come up with that taken "alone" should result in removal from office? I will go >50.

White House caught tweaking official Obama transcript

Obama Admin’s History Of Editing Transcripts

FLASHBACK: Obama Admin’s History Of Editing Transcripts Linked To ISIS, Iran

Whoops

Why do you think that is relevant to the charge on Trump? It didn't absolve him of anything. It actually makes him look worse since he's don't the exact same things as the "worst potus ever"

That is just BS "what-about-ism".

When did whataboutism become wrong ? The premise behind it is ridiculous. When you say that all you are doing is saying we should ignore what other in the past have done . The same ones will turn around and screech that’s the way it’s always been done or that’s the standard when somebody changes something they don’t like but there’s no law in place to cover it .

Here’s what gonna happen:

-The transcripts will be muted (may be far from even touching the depth of the complaint)

-Trump and the Fox News echochamber will scream at the top of their lungs they have been acquitted of any wrongdoing, Democrats suck, yada yada

-Whistleblower stuff won’t come out to congress until next week, details will trickle out how it is much worse than the phone call, Republican Congress will be silent, and no one that only inhales Fox News will ever even hear about it

-Trump will do something so stupid that the news cycle continues and this horrible impeachable allegation is forgotten.

Oh oh now do CNN and MSNBC so we know what to expect from that side also

This is a pretty big one.

Got to hand it to him, though. He squirmed out of the Mueller investigation and wasted no time in immediately inviting foreign influence in our election process yet again. Takes balls for him to be that stupid.

"What-about-ism" is not a defense of a person's actions. You can't justify your own misbehavior by pointing to someone else.
