The Impeachment Thread

I’ll say ( for me ) , if after all the pressure and outright public statements of the radical progressive left telling me that I’m coming to take your guns away from you when I’m elected , all I lost is an aftermarket bump stock that the makers of should be able to take to the SC and be heard . Gun owners have weathered a huge storm . I can live with Trumps “ gun grab “ as you like to call it if that’s all he does . He’s probably had more pressure applied to him to do something “about all those gun owners “ than any other president and at a time where the NRA is at its weakest .
And if viewed from a property tights issue you're perfectly ok with the president being able to take anything away from private citizens with just an XO (like ecigs)?

No you are trying to drive a narrative from what I said . Go back and read it again . I said after all that’s happened if that’s all that I lost is an aftermarket bump stock , I’m good with it and I consider it a huge win for “gun owners “. If we are doing the property right thing then there should be legal recourse .

Already problems with this determination since the transcripts says Barr was potentially involved. I can see another special counsel being needed here that's not under Barr's supervision. He's clearly got a conflict.
We need another special prosecutor since the last one took his 3 swings and had to ride the pine afterward.

Any news on the reaction of moderate GOP Senators? They may be waiting for the whistleblower complaint to come out, but that will tell the story of how this ends.

I do not believe that actual conviction is necessary. But if 4 + Senators indicate they would be willing to join the Dems on this, so that it is a majority with some teeth to it, like 52-48 or more, then I think like Nixon he would resign to spare himself the humiliation.

What sentient POTUS oversees releasing a heavily redacted transcript that leaves in the part where you ask the Ukrainian Pres. (a week after you halted their military aid) to call your personal lawyer and the U.S. Attorney General to talk about re-opening a completed investigation into your most obvious 2020 opponent?

Impeachment shouldn't be in play; this is Section 4 of the 25th Amendment time.

Watching Rudy will be interesting here. He has no immunity and no deference as he is not a public official. So what role he played might be critical in the quid pro quo aspect of this. If there is evidence he did so....

Does he turn and run to save his own hide?

Does he blather incoherently ? (Ok, that's a given)

Does he refuse to answer any questions to try to protect Trump?

See, the thing is, Trump shows loyalty only to the point where he gets a whiff you might turn on him. Just an inkling and he pulls the rip chord. The weakness here is Rudy. The Dems should insist he testify and disclose what Trump told him to do about Ukraine and Biden, what he was tasked with attempting to get done. Trump will then distance himself "I don't control Rudy, he did his own thing..." and then Rudy will know he is next in line to have his legs chopped of by Trump.

Rudy strikes me as an aging, incoherent alcoholic. He's already admitted his work in Ukraine focused on his personal client's interest, not our nation's. If pushed under intense hearing questioning, I think he'll implode like a house of cards and ramble nonsensically.

Has your life been turned upside down since Jan. 2017? Lose your job? Your house? Wife leave you because of Trump? Big loss of income? Have to give up your guns? Lose your freedom of speech? Freedom to assemble? Freedom of religion? Wounded or died in a foreign war? Taxes gone up appreciably? Lose your life, liberty, or pursuit of happiness? What is so f*****g bad that you idiots can't let it go???
Well, we all know it was her turn to put the final nail in the coffin. But true patriots (deplorables) stood their ground and the rest is history. Their butthurt will continue and they will lose their majority in Congress because people are fed up with their shenanigans.
