The Impeachment Thread

I will say that I do appreciate you laying all that out. I still believe you are taking things that aren’t yet proven facts and displaying them as such but that’s what everyone on here does so no worries there. So there’s no reason why he won’t be removed from office then if it is that black and white, correct? I find it interesting that you find it so black and white when just this morning on CNN I heard their impeachment expert, who has been part of 4 impeachment hearings (not the President obviously), saying that yesterday was a actually a good day for Trump and that there is no direct evidence yet. It sounded like he was still holding out hope but he gave an impartial POV. I was very surprised to hear it on CNN, although I’ll say I’ve heard way more impartial arguments on CNN than I have on MSNBC.

I think there’s more than a semantic difference between “not proven” and “no evidence.” I’m not going to push back on people saying “I’m not convinced.”

And I absolutely do not believe there is any chance in hell he is removed and that has nothing to do with the quality of the proof.

Taylor never said any of that.

The meeting at the WH never happened and Taylor’s testimony blew up in yalls face.

4th removed hearsay isn’t evidence
You’re right, Taylor never testified to “4th removed hearsay.”

Aren’t you the guy that tried to convince everybody that Trump didn’t embezzle $2 million from his charity after he admitted it? Lol.

I believe you are correct about the Republican generic... Trump is a pariah. I don't mean the tribe in southern India either. He'll get re-elected for the reasons you mentioned above, economy being the biggest, with added factors....The democrats on the national stage and the media.
Last election i had a choice, i choose neither. I do think in the long run trump has loudly screwed the country less than Hillary would have.
Next election we have a choice again, the status quo trump or one of the myriad of problematic democratic some being progressive liberals. Depends on who the DNC gives the nod to. If they give the nod to a progressive liberal, they automatically lose.
I think it'll be Pete and Trump. But I'll hang out and wait. Still more disingenuous pandering to come from both sides.
Fixed that typo for ya.

George W. Bush's White House "lost" 22 million emails

Clinton's email habits look positively transparent when compared with the subpoena-dodging, email-hiding, private-server-using George W. Bush administration. Between 2003 and 2009, the Bush White House "lost" 22 million emails. This correspondence included millions of emails written during the darkest period in America's recent history, when the Bush administration was ginning up support for what turned out to be a disastrous war in Iraq with false claims that the country possessed weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and, later, when it was firing U.S. attorneys for political reasons.

Which did you hear the most screaming and gnashing of teeth over?
Bush was a nightmare of corruption. Him and his daddy. I wasn't around here during that time or i probably would have spoken up about dubbs.

Your Sondland story just fell apart.
Yeah I simply cannot imagine why the Ukrainians are denying everything after the republican lawyer yesterday floated the defense that Trump, the guy who leads “lock her up” chants; celebrates the idea of doing “worse than waterboarding;” and lashes out at everyone, including his own employees, when they’re not obsequious enough for him, was just being vindictive because they said mean **** about him during the election.

Probably has nothing to do with what they said to Taylor while this was going on that they didn’t want to get wrapped up in US domestic politics. Why would they contradict Mulvaney, Sondland, Taylor, Vindman, Volker, and the text messages? Just doesn’t make any sense. Only explanation is that Trump is a total sweetheart who did nothing wrong in his whole life.

Cliff notes, anyone? Got him now?
Some think it is a slam dunk, Trump should be impeached tomorrow. Some think no slam dunk, but Hillary and friends are going to the gallows. Lots of arguing between the two sides, with not much changing over the last couple days.
Rinse and repeat.

See, a Power T.

That's exactly what the repubs did with all four and a half years of the Starr investigation.
That Pandora's box was opened then.
With one exception. The POTUS admitting to lying under oath. You guys love to forget that. I think Trump is a scum bag. So don’t throw that at me. But he hasn’t admitted to lying about sexual harassment in a sexual harassment lawsuit. Clinton should have been dragged from office that day.

I think it's all still evolving. I believe there is more to this. Reading on Ukraine has the same underlying story line.'.. Ukraine nods yes and no to whomever that will benefit them and goes back home and does their corruption thing. New sheriff in town still nodding yes and no with an anticorruption platform he got elected on. Still allowing corrupt former officials to retain their positions. It's all very interesting. If Ukraine is truly going to be about reform from corruption, heads need to roll.
