Miller Lite? That's what you drink after a BAD day at work.
We gotta get you something better. You like bourbon? Scotch? Rum? Tequila?
How good was your sale? Over a grand? How much are mini deals these days? In my day they were $100. But that was with a $149 "documentary fee".
I don't deal and tell. I'm a scotch man. Take a look at the last purchased thread to get an idea of what I've done with my money.
My goal for this month is to be Salesman of the Month. I've been here 3 months now. I want to start seeing some results.
Islay Scotch is the nectar of gods imo. I like all of it, but Islay is my favorite.
It's tough to get SoM after 3 months. You gotta up every living thing on the lot and hope the old guys don't get fed their typical 4 or 5 house deals. Good luck!
I miss selling cars on occasion.
It is tough, they know a lot of tricks I don't. I work hard to follow up with a lot of customers, and take as many ups as possible. All of my deals this month have been be-backs. That's satisfying to see things materialize after I have been working hard.
I don't sweat house deals.
I love what I am doing. I'd say that even if I was having a ****ty month.
I like Lowlands scotch. I am not picky. As long as it is single malt, I am happy!
I sold Honda and Lexus. Honda the longest. After 1 year I was already matching referrals and repeats with the senior salesman who'd been there 16 years. Amazing what honesty will do in the car business. GM just couldn't get it. He was a complete "rip their head off" salesman, anything less was total failure.
Lexus was ok, just too boring.
Honesty always goes a long ways. I also keep my product knowledge sharp.
My GM is a great GM, patient, willing to help and teach.
Stay there then. I should've stayed at Honda even though the GM was a prick. You've got a good gig if you've got a good product and a good GM. $50,000+ a year easy. I made $86,000 my last year at Honda. Assisted of course by the Odyssey which was white hot at full sticker paying $1500 per delivery.
