where do you start and where does it end? You seriously want to trust the gov't not to take things too far "for your safety"?

"whatever it takes" would pretty much end the US as we know it so I'll have to say this is wrong

well if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, its probably a duck.

if someone looks out of place, acts like they are out of place, chances are they are.

well then the government should lax up on responsible citizens who own weapons and go after the ones that are the problem. Let the people protect themselves domesticaly. I gurantee you that if ole ahmed al chodesmoker tried stuff when the citizens were allowed to arm themselves openly, he would look like swiss cheese

the laws are already pretty lax (except for certain parts of the US). Last thing I want is Joe Redneck and the 12ga in his truck deciding who looks out of place.

i agree with that point, but do you really think someone is going to try something if they know everyone around them is packing?

im not talking about just derka derkas, i was talking about in general. do you think some of these coward gangbangers are going attack innocent people if these people have an equalizer?

you can't stop someone who is willing to end their life to kill others. To think a few people with handguns at the mall is going to stop a guy with C-4 strapped to his chest is nuts.

look up the laws for self-defense and tell me that it won't end up with arguments/fights ending in someone getting shot.

your colorful language is interesting though

personally i think need to accept that stuff like this will happen. there is only so much we can do. while i agree profiling as to who you search at the airport makes sense, doing it for all things (like who the military hires) is a slippery slope.

easy, kill them first

That comes back to the profiling bit. If you see an arab, or anyone else walking around alone in a trenchcoat or something like that, it should automaticaly raise red flags. If i saw that, i would report it in a heartbeat.

in very small parts of the population. Now you have everyone armed and some arab guy shows up to the mall in a trenchcoat it would be worse. Hate for him to try and get a piece of gum from his coat pocket with you around

who said we were all paranoid? That is taking the mentality that all gunowners are paranoid rednecks. In all honesty, most people are so consumed in their own world, doing their own thing that ole al muhammad wont even really be noticed.

Just like when the underwear bomber bought a 1 way ticket and did not have any luggage that should have raised red flags, but the world is too worried about political correctness.

the 1-way ticket without luggage should have but not his ethnicity. And truthfully the fact he was already supposed to be on a watch list shows the failure of the current system. To expect $15/hr federal employees to make these decisions is ridiculous
