agreed. We are too worried about offending other's rights. Like mirandaizing arrested terrorists? that is dumb. Why do they have the same rights as we do? They are not American, if they are, then they should be classified as a traitor and strung up by a tree.

who said we were all paranoid? That is taking the mentality that all gunowners are paranoid rednecks. In all honesty, most people are so consumed in their own world, doing their own thing that ole al muhammad wont even really be noticed.

you just said an arab in a trenchcoat would make you call the police. Maybe I'm wrong on my definition of paranoid

the 1-way ticket without luggage should have but not his ethnicity. And truthfully the fact he was already supposed to be on a watch list shows the failure of the current system. To expect $15/hr federal employees to make these decisions is ridiculous

thats what happens when you have government running anything, or a government that is afraid to offend and do what needs to be done.

an arab guy in a trenchcoat walking around watching people and acting "out of place" i would tell security or something like that, im not gonna freak out and call the cops.

that's not fear it's overwork and not caring about their jobs. My wife flies on short notice with very little luggage quite often and is almost always checked. If she resembles a terrorist then we're all screwed anyway

I think Droski had it right. If we are going to live in a society that could even remotely be described as "free" there are going to be risks. I enjoy snow skiing but if I'm going to participate in that activity I need to realize that injury or even death can result.

Freedom is risk.

well technically we are at war, and the person commited a terrorist act, so therefore that would make them a war criminal and they would be tried by a tribunal

which is completely different than your "get a rope" the first time

and at war with what? An ideology? Bet that works out like the very successful war on drugs.

well we have troops on foreign soil fighting against a cause, which in essence is what all wars are, a fight between ideology.

Who would have thunk it!

They're probably undercover Amish!! :eek:k:

Arabic is one of the easier languages to learn, we need to train our own rather than rely on unreliable resources!!!!

It was Ft. Jackson... not Ft. Hood. Posted in the Jackson 5 thread...

Thanks, gotcha, I realized my mistake just as I punched 'post' but it was too late and you can't edit thread headers here.

can we all agree that profiling is necessary? or is someone still politically butthurt to do this?

utvolpj?

"whatever it takes" would pretty much end the US as we know it so I'll have to say this is wrong

It would play well on CBS' 'criminal minds' though. :)

well if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, its probably a duck.

if someone looks out of place, acts like they are out of place, chances are they are.

And the quack, quack is a dead giveaway!! :p

Maybe we should not allow any person, from any country that supports terrorist, entry into this country. Also forbid travel to those countries and economic dealings with any country that supports terrorism.

It has gotten so that airport security gives extra examination to anyone but the ones who would be most suspect for the sake of being politically correct, stupidity squared.

We would do better to more closely define just who we are at war with imo.

I see not the wisdom of fighting to enfranchise a government that espouses islamic sharia law in it's constitution.

We had best gracefully exit Afghanistan asap!!

It doesn't make much sense to me that we are fighting to establish and support a regime in Afghanistan that enfranchises islamic sharia law in it's constitution.

There is an extensive and complex system of Islamic infiltration within our U.S. Military and our federal and state prison systems. Islamists have been busy recruiting new followers to Islamic jihad, or war against the West, with the help of a “fifth column” of individuals and organizations in place in all branches of our government, supportive non-governmental organizations (NGO), and even the media.
