1. Jarnell Stokes is going to be a star. Not only that, I love his patience on offense, and he has the ability to pass the ball. He made 3 or 4 nice passes. He's going to be great.

2. Cam Tatum left everything on the floor today. That was the best game he has played this year.

3. Trae Golden just gave us nothing today. I don't know what it is was, but UT cannot have that kind of play if they are going to have a winning record in the SEC.

4. Quite simply, Kentucky's D was just too good. UT just wasn't able to get enough points on the board to win the game.

5. Kenny Hall continues to play really well of the bench. Hopefully he continues to give that energy.

6. I don't know why they didn't get the ball down low to Maymon more. He had a mismatch.

7. Tough, tough game. The kids played hard, but Kentucky is just better. Need to get that road win against Georgia.

How about the people in Knoxville and surrounding areas actually going to games. That was embarrassing.

I'm assuming #2 is sarcasm.

Let's give this Cuonzo guy one more year. I think we are back to winning 20+ games and competing for the SEC starting next year. Team is improving each and every game. Gotta be optimistic about 2012-2013 and beyond.

edit: ( I don't mean we should only give him one more year, just that I think things are going to be clicking next year)

Nope. He played really well today. You couldn't ask much more from him.

You can ask for defense. You can ask for better shot selection. You can ask for no stupid turnovers and bad fouls. You could ask for him to actually time his jumps on defensive rebounds correctly so when he's the only man under the basket the ball doesn't roll right past his head cause he jumped way too early. You could ask for him to actually hit the wide open 3's when the game isn't in the final minute and we're having to play the foul game.

There is a lot you can ask for him.

Agree with all your points except #2. IMO, Tatum and McRae are huge detriments on this team. Our weakest position is the 3 guard where they play (or try to play). On a positive note, things are looking good for the future of our program as we build it around Stokes. He is amazing for a kid that should still be playing high school ball.

our post players need to learn that putting the ball on the floor in the paint invites the little guys to strip it

Woolridge can't do much of anything either. Too soft to score down low, or defend. When he doesn't hit three's, he's useless.
