One big three?
I counted two for sure, and good defense. You guys need to get over the hate on Tatum.
One was in the final minute of the game - if he had hit 1.. just 1 of the 3 wide open threes he had around the 5-10 minute range we wouldn't need his desperation 3 in the final minute while playing the fouling game.
I watched the game too. Cam played well. He played good D on a lottery pick. Agree, he missed a couple box outs. Also had three assists, and shot 3-6 from 3.

4. Quite simply, Kentucky's D was just too good. UT just wasn't able to get enough points on the board to win the game.
8. Anthony Davis is hideous.
Tatum looks good in the box score, however, he and McRae missed several point blank shots driving to the basket, made some stupid fouls. Probably a little hard on Tatum, however, he is a 5th year Senior and plays the same he did as a sophomore.
He also fumbled the ball away in critical possession - fouled late in the shot clock on a couple of occassions and left his man wide open on a critical 3 point shot when there was no need for help defense considering the ball was at the top of the 3 point line when they passed to Kidd.
His shot selection on several 3s were miserable leading to fastbreak scores for UK - and didn't make wide open 3s when he had the chance.
I can think of at least 8 negative plays he had that were TO's, lack of effort on a rebound, or giving up 2 on D by losing his man.
He hit a bomb or 2 that were key, but you can't play "well" and have that many negative plays.
I remember one foul late in the shot clock from him.
And man, one bad defensive rotation. So nobody played well, right?
You act like he shot 4-15. He was 5-11, 3-6. I'll take everyday all day from Tatum/.
Yeah - and several of those missed shots led to 3v1 or 2v1 for UK due to being so stupid - so you might as well chalk them up as TOs.
It wasn't just a bad defensive rotation - it was abysmal - he had no reason to be that far off his man when Kentucky hadn't even tried to penetrate on that possession... in fact that stayed outside the 3-point line and only did 1 screen with Davis and Teague.
His ball handling and passing were pretty bad today.
