I so wish I had been able to watch the game last night. Damn NBA league pass…
But what a performance by DK. I mean he definitely deserved to be taken Top 5. Just shows how many dumb GMs there are out there. However, it seems like falling worked out for him. He gets to play with LeBron and AD, which I’m sure is just a really cool experience for him and he is on a contender with what seems to be a really good young coach who knows how to utilize DK’s talent.
There’s a video of him signing his shoes and giving them to a little girl at one game, not sure if that was a special occasion or if he frequently meets with fans but he’s done it at least once so farHas anyone been to see him play as a Laker? Does he stay on court after games and sign stuff? My two boys want to go see him and he always did that after Vols games.
Yep, Dalton's success will make Barnes more desirable to play for. Dalton wasn't doing what we watched last year and what he is doing with the Lakers at Northern Colorado. He was good but not dominant. Something clicked when he got to Tennessee and he realized how good he truly could be. Barnes can use that as a tool. We already might be seeing this payoff. I was pretty happy with this year's class, Lanier, Okpara, and Igor. So far they are a pretty solid group of transfers..Damn, DK is gonna mess around and make the Lakers my favorite team. Never thought I'd be saying that. I wish we had him more than just a year at UT but his one year should pay some huge dividends in recruiting....especially elite portal guys.
Yep. He could not have landed in a better spot. If he continues to grow, he’ll more than make up the money he lost in the draft on his second contract.
…talk dirty to me Yard Bird…Have you seen the ticket prices to an NBA game to see the Lakers play anywhere? Wanted to take my daughter to see him vs. the Hawks game for Christmas present. Ouch, that might be all she got this year. I like that he is still very humble in interviews. Just proud he is a VFL. Think how this will impact Barnes ability to recruit HS 5* talent and the best portal talent. UT BBall going to have stallions on the floor. Barnes may coach a couple of extra years and bring a Natty back home to TBA!
Definitely in the right place and I’m excited by his potential. Should be a star in the league for a long time.Hell, he is making up for a lot of that early first round money just due to the exposure and marketing opportunities he is getting by being in L.A.
He is not just a high level rookie....he is on the cusp of becoming a league superstar, future all-star and helping fill the shoes of one of the all-time greats when he retires in a couple years. DK is in the perfect place to control his destiny in the biggest market with a coach that understands his value. Men's version of Caitlin Clark without the jealousy and stupid race debates while doing it alongside LBJ and AD. He will help keep those guy's minutes down for a playoff run, maintains or grows leads when they rest and will make teams pay if they send help at them in the playoffs.
I used to have a friend on the Hawks coaching staff. Sadly he left the team a few years back, but I used to get free tickets in the family section to any big game I wanted. Miss those days.Have you seen the ticket prices to an NBA game to see the Lakers play anywhere? Wanted to take my daughter to see him vs. the Hawks game for Christmas present.
