Tough finishing schedule - how do we do?

Winning at UK is critical to even the series for the season. UF and USC are important too but at least we have a win over each.

I'd take 4-2 at this point. Puts us at 11-5 in SEC; 20-10 overall before the SEC tourney. Should put us in the NCAA and possibly give us an SEC East co-championship.

3-3 makes things a little sketchier but with 4 road games it's a real possibility.

3-3 would get us in.

Here is what i predict.

W - @ Ole Miss
L - @ Kentucky
W - Mississippi State
L - @ Florida
W - @ South Carolina
W - Alabama

Bringing us to 20-10 ( 11-5 ). That should be good enough to get us in the tourney alone, but i also think we will pick up 1 win in the SEC tourney & maybe 2.

Long ago in a thread far, far away I indicated we could go 8-8 in the conference. That would take 1-5 to do that. Don't see that happening. I'm going with lose all 4 on the road and win both at home for 18-12 and 9-7 (credentials: I got the 5-7 football season right).

LSU would have to lose 3 games for Tennessee to simply tie them by going 5-1. That's not going to happen.

They still have to go on the road at Arkansas and Kentucky. They also play Florida at home. Like you said, I don't see them losing all three, but we can always hope. Either way, us going 5-1 the rest of the way is going to be one tough task. I'd be proud of our team for doing that, even if we don't win the SEC.

4-2 would be a good end to this season.

I think we'll win one of the games we're supposed to lose (UK, UF) and lose one of the games we aren't supposed to lose.

I just dont see this team beating anybody that is any good. I believe we are a NIT team after winning 1 game in the SEC tournament.

The chances if catching LSU are so slim that I don't see the benefit of wanting them to lose at Rupp.

I want to win the East, or at least finish second, and get a bye in the SECT.

4-2, I don't think we loose to both UK and FL but we loose to one of them and I think we loose at SC.

If we win those games & win one game in the SEC tourney we WILL get in the NCAA Tourney. That would be 20 wins. Their is no way they would leave us out if we had 20 wins with our RPI & SOS

You guys really see us losing to UF??...Seriously...They are terrible...Decent offense but zero defense...I just don't see it happening

Maybe we will pull a "Don Devoe" when he came over his first year.............I believe it was his first year. Got hot and won his last 6 SEC games. When this team plays good D and gets in the passing lanes, they can be pretty darn good. Who knows. Stranger things have happened.

I have mixed thoughts with wanting a first round bye in the SECT. If we were to play a first round game, chances are we'd win. That just adds another win to our resume. It just seems like that extra win would be more beneficial than resting up for the latter rounds. After all, winning the SECT isn't our first priority.
