The Last 6 Games - Your Prediction?

I continue to be amazed at the amount of worry people have about UT's NCAA Tournament prospects. If they win the two remaining home games, they're in the field. Period. Look around the country and find 34 better at large resumes.

Your optimism is amazing. If they just win 2 more games? That's crazy!!!!! You might be confident, but this is UT! I'd feel better about our chances if we were Kentucky. We have to win at a minimum three more games, including the SEC Tourney. I think if we go 2-4, then lose the first game of the tourney.....WE ARE NIT BOUND BABY.

And if you care to make a wager PM me!

I hate to predict a loss at KY but it is a rare occurance to nab a victory in Rupp. But I feel confident that we will sweep the rest for at worst 2nd in the East, maybe 1st.

I strongly disagree with that. I said that we needed to win 6 out of the last 8 to get into the NCAA's. Now, I'm starting to wonder if I set the bar too high with that mark. Besides Kentucky and Florida, who do you see beating us? Ole Miss? South Carolina? Mississippi State?

While no game is set in stone for us, there are a few that I strongly believe we will get a W.

Obviously Kentucky is probably going to be the most challenging game. They are probably the best team in the SEC East besides us, and are defenitely better than UF. I dont see us losing to Florida, Miss, SC, or Miss St, so Kentucky remainds the question mark. I think(HOPE) that the players will want revenge for what Kentucky and Meeks did to them and will come out and get a win. So with that said, if we were to go 6-0 and say win the SEC Tourney or lose in the Championship what seed do you think that this team would get?

Honestly I think we could win out. We have been playing great ball the past two games, and if we keep it up we should be able to win out. I say 6-0 or 5-1...We are playing better than Florida and Kentucky right now.

We defenitely do seem to be playing better, but i wonder is it how good we are playing or how bad georgia and vanderbilt were playing. I honestly feel that it is some of both, Tyler seems to be playing better and EVERYBODY seems to have realized their roles and are finally starting to gel together. With that said i feel as though this week will be very telling of what direction we are heading, and if there is any reason for excitement.

I too believe we will make the Big Dance and finish out the year 4-2. The Auburn loss not withstanding, we seem to buckle down and play better on the road. If we win our last 2 at home and split the road games that will gave us a finish of 4-2 and we will go dancing.

The biggest game we have left may be the one in Columbia. SC is playing very good and will be fired up for some revenge after they blew the game in Knoxville.

That is very true and SC is a good team, but i think UT handles them. Our D has been playing much better and i know that Downey is much better than Biel but our PG defense has seemed to stepped up lately. I remember Downey didnt do too much against us in the first game. It should be interesting but i just dont see SC being a big a threat at the end of the year atop the division as Kentucky is.

4-2 I just don't see us losing to the gators unless they shoot out of their minds from 3 point range. They have no low post game to speak of and wayne will own them again in the paint.

the only games i see us loosing is UK and Fla. if u stop either meeks of patterson, we will run them out of the building. we will come away with one of those games.

The talking heads all agree that UT has the toughest road remaining the the SEC-east.

May be Bruce has found a starting line up he believes in.

NO team with a top 20 RPI and SOS is going to be left out of the NCAA tournament.

I honestly do not understand why so many of you are penciling in the Florida game as an L for Tennessee. Florida has no size and no defense. They habitually leave Calathes out there on a limb, trying to score enough points all by his lonesome to keep the game competitive. They've lost the close games they have been in.

Florida is just not very good.

I also believe we don't have to do very much else to get into the tourney, just take care of home court. We're currently 18th in the RPI and have a top 5 SOS. There are very few bubble teams that can touch that. I think a "neutral" court win over Marquette will more than offset a road conference loss to auburn.

I do my business in public, goofball. Here's the bet. If Tennessee wins their two home games, they make the NCAA Tournament. Regardless of the result of their other games. Let's set the wager at $1,000.
