The Last Person to post wins XVIII

We had a restaurant called Druthers back home. Best fast food fries I've ever had. There were around 3 of them in our area, not sure about anywhere else. They changed to burger queen, then dairy queen. Another place called Rax, best philly sandwich I've had. Mmmm

If anyone sees Behr around later could you please let him know I said IDGAF, STFU, and GTFO? Also, let him know he's a chitty chef with zero food knowledge!!!! Give him the finger as well.....be careful tho, he might get frisky when he sees your erect finger.

Back in the eighties because of the high content of saturated fat they stopped using beef fat and started using natural beef flavor added to the oil they use to fry them.

If y'all can tell the difference, I won't argue. I can't though and I still love them.

would be really good if they weren't soggy like every time I've had them.

Burger King and Wendy's suck. IMO.

Cut some potatoes real thin, soak them overnight in a little sugar water, add a little beef or bacon flavoring to your grease and fry some of the best fries you ever had. Or go get some from McDonalds, next best thing. Lulz.
Someone ask Behr if he’s ever done French fries in an air fryer.

My new Instant Pot Combo Duo Crisp Something Something Air Fryer Also arrived last night, and I’m trying to figure out what to do with it.

@vollygirl OK, I bought it, now what??

Falls into the category of the dog that chased the truck and caught it, and now doesn’t know what to do.

I used my air fryer tonight for smoked sausage. My suggestion would be to put anything you use your oven for in it and see what happens.

I feel like I need one of these now.

I do hate to give up my Bella pressure cooker though. I feel like I'd be cheating on her. And I think I just didn't want an insta pot cause everybody had an insta pot.

@VolNExile let me know how it goes as it's going!!!
When I pull up my big girl panties and take it on, I will!

I have the advantage of only owning two kitchen cooking gadgets: an electric skillet and a crockpot. We tossed the electric skillet after it started tripping the circuit breaker every two minutes, and the temp indicator on the crockpot is now shaky, so we never know if it’s on high or low. So we don’t have any particular loyalties to existing gadgetry. (We will ignore the two quesadilla makers.)

So a new 14” electric skillet (no scariness there), the old crockpot saved for warming if nothing else, and now the big scary Instant Pot Thing.

If I had any counters, I’d drag it out and hook the thing up! to be continued

Is this the new food thread? Better food discussion going on in here anyway....
Well, someone has to talk about food SOMEWHERE!

PS: do you use an Instant Pot or air fryer? I now own both in one gadget, and I am clueless. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have an instant pot (and love it), but not an air fryer. One tip I can give you about using the instant pot....make sure you always have enough liquid during the cook!

So I’m curious, how often do you use the Instant Pot, and when/why do you choose to use it instead of your stovetop or oven?

DH is making mildly snarky comments about this new addition to our home, and I need to have a good response, lol.

Honestly, I don't use it that often. But, it's just convenient because you can throw everything in the same pot, set it, and forget it!! It's like using a crock pot, but quicker.

It makes perfect rice too....if you're a rice fan.
