I’m fine with it given the circumstances. IMO announcers or media can’t criticize Tennessee for it when the same people say Tennessee needs to impress and get style points to improve their resume. I honestly believe if we weren’t fighting for a playoff spot, Heupel would not have called the offense like he did the final minutes of the game. He has shown as much, that he doesn’t like sticking to it opposing teams that we have blown out. If Heupel just runs 3 conservative plays and punts, without a doubt Missouri is trotting back out there with the intention on putting 7 more on the board

We’ve been on the opposite side of these scores the last several years. We put in our backups and they kept their starters in. Keep your foot down if they keep sending their 1’s out there.

Heupel ran it up on us not too long ago and I doubt their fans cared much. I understand losing makes fans cranky but remember your history

Score until the clock hits 0. These are grown men out there. You would think if they didn't like it they would play better defense. We are in the world though of not hurting feelings and everyone gets a trophy

Drink didn't have a problem with it. Eli Drinkwitz responds to Mizzou’s loss at Tennessee, says he has ‘no issues’ with Vols running up score late Not sure what the problem is anyway? This happens all the time in college football. How many times has Alabama done it to Vanderbilt for example and nobody cared. Who cares? Play the game until the clock runs out. Stop them if you can....
Vols will do it to Vanderbilt and if anyone cares they need to quit watching football

CJH took his foot of the gas by putting the second string in.

CJH’s responsibility when the second string QB/WRs go in is to get them ready to be first string since they are one hit away from becoming starters. CJH just let Milton run the normal offense.

If coach drunk wanted the dogs called off he should have taken his QB out as soon as he realized he was going to lose.

No coach should call his men off until the other side has surrendered. PERIOD.

Remember a few years ago when we averaged like 18 points a game. Air it out til the last whistle blows. I was hoping we'd hit 70 with missouri's coach running his mouth about our program.

Eli Drink makes $6 mil a year to field a bad football team. Vols don't have time to let up or worry whether he might get his feelings hurt. He should not have gone on Jim Rome's radio show and made negative remarks about Tennessee's program. I personally don't care what anybody thinks I want Tennessee to score and score and score until the clock hits 0:00. I wish we would have had time to score again and get over 70.

Not read all 11 pages to date but would offer that those points allowed our offense to be recognized as NOW having the highest scoring average to go along with most productive offense in the NCAA stats.

Also, wondered if Coach was trying to give 7 the chance to offset the internal flack he took about last year's game. Going 3-3 with over 100 yards does make a statement, especially when both downfield passes were pretty much perfect.

Will be interesting to see if either or both of our remaining games offer stat stuffing opportunities what the split is.

They have the 13th ranked defense in the nation, it may come down to us and USC or TCU getting in the playoff so it matters that we are so powerful on Offense we can do that, we won't go as hard on SC I don't think, there's nothing to gain from it per say other than winning.

I certainly agree with that. I think Mr. blowfish should apologize to Tennessee fans for that. I also think that if Tennessee is fortunate enough to be able to win this game certainly his remarks should be remembered and dealt with on the field. I mean that's classless. And if that's what he is all about then at some point maybe he needs to be taught (on the field) that he needs to keep his mouth shut. I hope we get that opportunity but the most important goal is to win the ballgame.
