Said i'd never marry after that. 3 years later, here I am. On a side note, buying a ring is worse than going to a freaking car lot. My God what a bunch of vultures. No doubt in my mind her band and my ring will be coming from Blue Neal or something online. As far as the actual ring itself, I'm a sentimental loser and thought it would be more special physically looking for one. Yay for brick and mortar markups.

We're going to the beach next week. She always wanted to have "professional" beach photos done, so I told her I would hire a photographer to take our photos. I'm going to do it during the photo session.

Thank you! I've been doing my check list over the last 2 weeks. Spoke to Dad/Stepmother to ask for their blessing (which was definitely an uncomfortable conversation due to not being around them much). Finally bought a ring, trying to line all this stuff up has given a little more anxiety than I anticipated. All while signing up for classes to go back to school.

Thanks man. We're going on 3 years. It'll be a year long engagement. It kind of just hit me going to work one morning that this is what I wanted to do. Plus we've lived together for about 18 months, and I'm kind of tired of getting remarks made by our true southern, bible belt families!!!
