I don't really think you need a scope, the bullet's pretty heavy
It's a brush gun, so as long as your comfortable out to a 100 yards you should be good

At least when I hunted East and Middle Tennessee, I never took a shot greater than 50-75 yards, due to the terrain

I'm currently in North Dakota. Cover is kind of scarce around here.

When I bought the rifle the guy at the store mentioned that it's a perfect gun for hunting in a place like Tennessee.

I would definitely get a scope mounted. I wavered when I got mine, but I'm really glad I did.

I left the iron sights on and got quick-detach scope rings (and can be put back on without having to re-sight). I'll look for the exact mount I got.

The scope I bought for it is the Leupold VX-3 1.75-6x32mm. Great scope.
