I've worn shell-toes since freshman year of undergrad. I once tried them without the laces.

Ha, I am just glad to have a go-to pair of shoes. Makes life very simple. I usually go for white stripes on a black shoe, but Amazon.com had these gold on black, so I rolled the dice. I hope they don't look like do-do.


They also make for a great driving shoe as they wear in. Great for working the brake, clutch and gas pedal.

I go through a pair about every year or so. As a student, I wear them at least 295 days a year. That will likely change if I actually get a jerb!

I'm also still trying to figure out why I keep seeing Popeye's chicken commercials here as well. Maybe they put one in Pigeon Forge.

There's been one in pigeon forge for a long time. I see the commercials in Spartanburg & I think the closest is in Columbia.

There is a Popeye's at Watt Road. There is also one in Oak Ridge, but it defines terrible.

I think they still have a DQ near the Emory Road exit off 75.

When you get a job buy Allen Edmonds, they wear great and you can replace the sole
