Arkansas has put out feelers about possibly joining the Big 12.

The Big 10, er 12 can have them. They're an old SWC team. If they're happy to give up equal revenue in favor of being Tejas' prison love, then see ya.

Slive should offer to throw in Miss., Miss. St., USC, Vandy, and some cash to sweeten the deal.

And before someone rants about how Vandy's scholastic aptitude brings such great credit to the league, remind me again as to how much that helped us in the whole conference re-alignment ordeal.

These schools bring nothing of substance to the conference. Nothing.

Vandy has a very good baseball team, and they usually have good basketball teams. football is their weak link

Neither an average baseball nor basketball team outweigh their egregious and long-standing ineptitude in football.

They are nothing but a financial drain and competitive liability.

Lose Arkansas, both Mississippi teams, & Suck Carolina.
Add UNC, Duke, Wake Forest, NC State, Fla St., Miami, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech.

That would be a nice conference.

The Big 12 would have to add one more making two divisions which would make Ark king of the north.

No way Texas lets 'em in. If they did, they'd have to add a 12th team (TCU?) and have a conference championship game. They definitely don't want that.

Why would they have to add a 12th team?

The big 10 has been playing with 11 since 93.

And even if they do add 12 I'm not sure they had to play a conference title game. I don't think it's mandatory, just allowed.

It was made very clear that we will not be expanding the Big12-2 by the commissioner on Monday. Arkansas would lose 5 million per year if they so chose to move, and as dumb as they are, I dont think they're that dumb.

I don't see Arkansas being that stupid.....the new version of the Big 12 is now Texas and the nine dwarves. Some commentary down here centers around basic uphappiness with current arrangement and how the hostility engendered lately will be corrosive to the longevity of the conference.

You'll still enjoy the luxary of whipping Jerrah's school every year all the while under the SEC flag. If the truth be known, this is a personal pipe dream of his that will not come true any time soon.

"Some commentary"? They havent shut up about it since. This sucker will be dead in less than 5 years. Maybe sooner.

Arkansas' basketball program made $10M in profit last year. I think that was about $1.4M more than we did. South Carolina football is also very profitable. Just sayin
