He made the first down IMO but the call was short. Was there indisputable video evidence that he did gain those extra few inches? I don't think so.

That being said, I don't think that call was the reason we lost. The reason is the offense couldn't come up with one more TD.

I like Dobbs. That said, I thought he played very poorly.

I thought he played okay in the second half, BUT too bad we could not have taken advantage of all of those injuries in the Vanderbilt secondary. North was injured, not that he has been getting much separation from DBs. The other receivers aren't getting open either. Add a freshman QB trying to make something happen when it wasn't there. Dobbs made some plays. He didn't have a great game, but there were other deficiencies that factored in his performance.

Overall, the defense played pretty well. We ran the ball OK for most of the night. From the stands, I couldn't understand why Carter was playing, then I learned North was hurt. So on 3rd and 2 do you trust your freshman QB with WRs that haven't been open all night, or your NFL right side of the OL. They went with the OL, but Vandy guessed right. Better play from WRs we win. Help is on the way.

Do you know who also didn't have an SEC QB? Vanderbilt. They also beat Florida and UGA this year. Why? Because they created an offense that they could handle.

These QBs are not improving week to week. The QBs have been less effective by the week. There is no reason our QB play should be worse during week 11 than week 1.

Trooper was a HUGE risk to consider at the time with the NCAA snooping around.

Dobbs did struggle but it was absolutely wrong to take any part of the game out of his hands. Vandy had two QB that had as many tun overs yet they let them play the game. If they were not going to let Dobbs throw they should have taken him out. Horrible coaching last night on offense and defense.

Is the qb play of Josh Dobbs.....we were in/near the redzone so many times and he couldn't make it happen...we should have easily win by 3 scores...yes the playcalling and coaching decisions sucked, but with an average qb, we win easily....I don't know Rileys health situation, but I am pissed that he didnt even get a chance the entire season.....Dobbs is the least poised freshman qb I have ever seen....if Riley is worse than we have 2 epic busts at the qb position and I refuse to believe that.....which makes me lose even more faith in this staff....screw burning the redshirt....we needed to make a bowl and win that game....

Butch has stated he does not like starting qb looking over his shoulder and so he gives chances. Last night maybe he took that too far but I am not sure throwing ferg into that mess maybe not a good idea.
