The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Does it matter which was worse?

Ken Starr's Special Counsel "Whitewater" investigation was also politically-motivated and weak. That is why he had to stray into Bill Clinton's sex life in the first place. Ken Starr couldn't find anything illegal under the scope of his original investigation.
It matters that just about every liberal on here, when discussing Clinton on this issue, screech and moan about it being just about sex and a political hit job. And yet here they are rooting for Trump to go down for something far less. Hypocrites!

I don't watch either show but it's pretty easy to understand given the context.
Trump was on Hannity and said he didn't have an affair with Stormy.
It must be true, because there is no way Trump would lie, especially on a reputable show like Hannity's.
Didn't stormy on 3 separate occasions say there was no affair...and also sign a sworn documents saying the same??

Stormy Daniels Ordered to Pay Trump $122k in Legal Fees Hours After Indictment

Stormy Daniels, the porn star involved in a hush money payment during the 2016 campaign, has been ordered to pay almost $122,000 in attorney fees to former President Donald Trump as he faces charges in New York over the alleged affair.

Harmeet Dhillon, the Republican lawyer who represented Trump in the case, congratulated Trump on his victory.

“Congratulations to President Trump on this final attorney fee victory in his favor this morning,” she wrote. “Collectively, our firm obtained over $600,000 in attorney fee awards in his favor in the meritless litigation initiated by Stormy Daniels.”

“I believe President Trump’s character and conduct make him unfit for office," Romney said after the former president's arraignment. "Even so, I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda."

Alvin Bragg Won Election by Bragging About Suing Trump More than 100 Times

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, during his 2021 Democrat primary race, campaigned on suing the Trump administration more than 100 times, a video unearthed by the Republican National Committee shows.

“Let’s talk about what is waiting for the new DA — the docket,” Bragg said about upcoming future cases for the new DA. “We know there is a Trump investigation.”

“I have investigated Trump and his children and held them accountable for their misconduct with the Trump Foundation,” he said.

“I also sued the Trump administration more than 100 times for DACA, the travel ban, separation of children from their families at the border,” he boasted. “So, I know that work. I know how to follow the facts and know how to hold people in power accountable.”

YouTube Bans RSBN Prior to Trump Arraignment ‘Leaving Americans Voiceless in Face of Tyranny’

YouTube slapped Right Side Broadcasting Network’s (RSBN) channel with a week-long ban on Monday, the day before former President Donald Trump’s scheduled arraignment.

In a press release, the network said it planned on covering Trump’s arraignment in Manhattan, but YouTube decided to suspend the channel, a move that blocks the outlet from live-streaming for seven days:
On Monday, RSBN received a notice from YouTube informing us that due to content violating their “elections misinformation” policies, the platform has removed several videos. These include President Trump’s most recent rally in Waco, Texas, his remarks at CPAC, and our exclusive sit-down interview with him at Mar-a-Lago.

Mitt Romney is right on both counts.

Listening to a WaPo reporter on my way home. Basically Trump just paid Cohen in installments. Every time he did it it was "new crime." If he had just written him one check it would only have been one charge. This is DAF.

The way I understand is the falsification of business records is a misdemeanor, for it to be upgraded to a felony it has to be done to cover up another crime and that crime isn’t mentioned.

Maybe true. This helps rally support, at least in the short term. Long term factors include:

1) level of Trump fatigue within the GOP versus that rally effect.

2) whether any candidate emerges that can steal some of that outrage rally element, but avoid the fatigue.

3) can the Dems dump Biden and come up with a more charismatic candidate.

4) other charges against Trump.

Why are you so scared of him?

Obama for the crime of having the temerity to say, while black, that if he had had a son he would have looked like Trayvon Martin. That's clearly incitement of racial violence (at least according to the Einsteins on this board).
What if he said it while he wasn’t black?

I just got home and read through the indictment. It is even worse than what you are saying. They are charging him with a felony for receiving the invoice, another felony for putting the debt into his ledger book, and a third felony for writing a check to the attorney. This was done for each invoice, each ledger entry, and each check.

This is insane.

The Whitewater investigation resulted in multiple felony convictions of crimes actually involving Whitewater. Convictions of a Governor and US attorney so it wasn’t weak. The foray into the Lewinsky crap was weak but not the original Whitewater investigation.

Is this what they are hanging their hats on? Seriously? The entire democrat party is deranged.

I for one can't wait to see the charges for Bill Clinton's $850K payoff to Paula Jones. Then I want to see the Biden indictment for removing classified information while only a senator and storing it in his garage... and of course Hillary's destruction of 33,000 emails from an illegal server.

Trump 47 is going to destroy the democrats. It will be a glorious four years.

Against the McDougals and Jim Guy Tucker? Yes.

However, Starr's primary objective was to tie the real estate fraud to the Clintons and even after spending several years and over $50 million - he never could. In that sense, it was weak as hell.
