It matters that just about every liberal on here, when discussing Clinton on this issue, screech and moan about it being just about sex and a political hit job. And yet here they are rooting for Trump to go down for something far less. Hypocrites!Does it matter which was worse?
Ken Starr's Special Counsel "Whitewater" investigation was also politically-motivated and weak. That is why he had to stray into Bill Clinton's sex life in the first place. Ken Starr couldn't find anything illegal under the scope of his original investigation.
Didn't stormy on 3 separate occasions say there was no affair...and also sign a sworn documents saying the same??I don't watch either show but it's pretty easy to understand given the context.
Trump was on Hannity and said he didn't have an affair with Stormy.
It must be true, because there is no way Trump would lie, especially on a reputable show like Hannity's.
Listening to a WaPo reporter on my way home. Basically Trump just paid Cohen in installments. Every time he did it it was "new crime." If he had just written him one check it would only have been one charge. This is DAF.
Maybe true. This helps rally support, at least in the short term. Long term factors include:
1) level of Trump fatigue within the GOP versus that rally effect.
2) whether any candidate emerges that can steal some of that outrage rally element, but avoid the fatigue.
3) can the Dems dump Biden and come up with a more charismatic candidate.
4) other charges against Trump.

Against the McDougals and Jim Guy Tucker? Yes.The Whitewater investigation resulted in multiple felony convictions of crimes actually involving Whitewater. Convictions of a Governor and US attorney so it wasn’t weak. The foray into the Lewinsky crap was weak but not the original Whitewater investigation.

However, Starr's primary objective was to tie the real estate fraud to the Clintons and even after spending several years and over $50 million - he never could. In that sense, it was weak as hell.
