I've been saying this for years, and couldn't shout it loud enough when Trump was pretending he would lock her up. Nobody ever goes after presidents/the most powerful because of mutually assured destruction. With our government and laws, you can always find enough smoke to ruin a politician, and if you go after theirs, they'll come for yours. Trump is the first politician to make people hate him enough that they don't care about mutually assured destruction and retaliation. They're going for it. Trump has nobody to blame but himself.

I just hope it creates a cascade effect where Republicans go after Democrats as well. I'm okay with both sides locking each other up. I'm not on either "team", so I want to see more from both sides locked up and kicked out of politics.

Trump has plenty of resources to fight this, unlike many of the poor ba$tards caught up in 1/6 who have been bled dry by legal bills, long waits for a trial and then ridiculous jail sentences handed out by kangaroo courts in DC. Yet, very few in the GOP spoke out on their plight let alone helped these families. The GOP is filled with gutless cowards.

Statute of limitations in New York are 2 years for misdemeanor and 5 for most felonies....didn't this go down over 7 years ago??

They will have a jury and judge that assures a conviction. Being a misdemeanor he might not get a jury trial.
