The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Show me the numbers then.
I posted them earlier. It's also not a cheap one to short

It's all there in the Sarasota, Florida-based company's 100-page financial report: A firehose of losses, $58 million last year, on minuscule revenue of $4 million from advertising and other sources.

The losses are so big, as Trump Media's auditor wrote in the report, they "raise substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern."

Trump inherited close to half a billion dollars so let's not saying 40-60 years of market appreciation is a big deal on that....

I'm far more impressed with him threading the needle to be POTUS than 40 years of real estate investing underperformance...
I have no idea what his real estate portfolio is worth. Honest statement. Of course Mar a Lago is only worth about $20 million according to certain Socialists, so there's that.

Thanks.

And tbh, I don't short stocks. I did it a couple of times, and it's way too stressful. I'll sell puts on volatile securities, but that's as close as I get. The ROI is waaaaaaaaaaay better.

To be fair, they did get the SPAC money after issuance of that AFS so they have some funds now. But if they don't become cash flow neutral in next 3-4 yrs, they will run put of cash

Is real estate considered risky investment wise?

It's much more likely when you look at the financials. This isn't a solid company on the way up

I'm surprised it went to market so quickly. It's what? Three years old at most?

Most companies have to go through five years or more before being considered.

As for "solid" or not, that remains to be seen. But it's not at the moment.

We've been through this. Trump couldn't get an expert qualified for his trial. The only piece of evidence admitted was the property tax bill...

You do know judge's have to rule based on evidence that is presented in court and even then, he assessed nothing related to MAL...

The whole SPAC thing has made it easier for young companies to go public.

And you know that is a complete sham.

Still waiting @GOAT.

I bet he will....

He's hopefully not dumb enough to force board to allow him to dump before 6 month lockup period. That's the only way he loses money here...

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him pump and dump that stock. There will be a few VN MAGA guys that will snap up some shares in a run in a FOMO moment.

I'd wager that a lot people are going to be left holding the bag when Donny decides to cash out.

It has every hallmark of a pump and dump....

I do not think he would create a legal issue by forcing board to waive 6 month lockout period.

Golf courses are a losing investment.

His net worth in 2023 wasn't much different than 1988. Obviously DJT going public helps him this year but that was "branding" and not real estate....

The S&P 500 index was ~250 in 1988. It is almost 5200 now.

That is an increase of 20x....
