The Masters Tournament

Of course not. Why would somebody swinging a golf club do such and idiotic thing?

Only an idiot would think a guy would skip a ball over water & be trying to make it & the ball didn't roll straight into the hole so I guess he missed his line & got lucky.

I've seen the guys skipping it across the water on several occasions. There's no doubt they are aiming at the pin. Of course it is a bit of a crapshoot, but it certainly isn't like it is too difficult to skip a ball across water

Lol

There's NO DOUBT he was aiming at the pin and trying to get it close. Sure the fact that it actually went in is somewhat lucky.

Wow. I'm shocked it went in. That's crazy.

I know right. Skipping across water to a pin sitting on a severe slope is the way to go. Just aim at the pin & hit a skip fade & have the ball turn 90 degrees into the hole.

cc has been right every single thread I've seen on VN.

At least, that was what I was led to believe.

The truly sad thing is that CC "knows" he is right and EVERYONE ELSE is wrong.

Why does everybody have to be right or wrong & not just have different opinions? About 99% of the things that are debated are very subjective.

You can argue til you're blue in the face trying to get him to understand that players are actually trying to ace the shot when they skip it. I tried. I thought it was the objective of golf to go for the pin/hole until govols/cc showed me the light.

Just shut up.

Back on topic, who thinks Tiger will aim for some pins and throw a few good rounds together this weekend? Hasn't he been having achilles problems again?

He will fire at every pin trying to skip it thru bunkers, down the fairway, & across water. He won't break 100 either day because of it. Seriously do you think they aim at the flag on every hole at Augusta or anywhere else for that matters? Some holes you aim 30 feet one way or the other to get it close. Some holes it's just getting it on the green. Think what you want about me but you're coming across as a moron. Especially if you think guys are trying to hole water skipping shots. If you had seen the video you would know he would had to have either been aiming right or missed it right to get it close. I guess you play a lot of flat greens.

Tiger at Augusta is a horses for courses deal. I would never pick against him at Torrey Pines, Bay Hill or Augusta National.

This is the darnedest argument I've ever seen.

Serious questions. Have you ever aimed at a target away from the pin to try & get it close? Have you ever hit a shot just hopeful to get it on or somewhere around the green? Have you ever hit a shot that was nothing like you intended & have it end up close to the hole for whatever reason? Have you ever skipped a shot across water with honest intentions of holing it? Just wondering.
