If, in July of 2016, Wheeler returns the way he ended 2014, he's the 4th or 5th starter in the Mets rotation and he's the best 5th starter in the majors. So yeah, he won't be our #1 or #2 or probably #3. But where he fits into our rotation gives us a better chance at winning once every 5 games than any other team in the majors.
I know I'm like way ahead of myself, but I can't help but focus more on trying to stay ahead of whoever wins the West instead of the Nats. I wanna make sure we have home field in the NLDS. There's just something about presumably having to face Greinke and Kershaw in New York instead of in LA.
