I was really hoping this would be a good movie. I was pumped at them bringing back some classic monsters.

I saw it today. Thought it was entertaining, but not great by any means. Certainly doesn't deserve the reviews it is getting though, which are making it sound like one of the worst movies ever made.

One review I saw on YouTube from someone I follow said it suffered from a lack of focus that it didn't really no what it wanted to be.

He also said that Tom Cruise actually gives a really good performance.

Critics hate this movie with a passion. It currently has a rating of only 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's 32 fresh and 164 rotten out of 196 reviews. That's even lower than Baywatch (Yikes!)... It does a little better with customers. 45% of audience goers liked it on Rotten Tomatoes and it has a score of 5.9 on IMDB. I really like the Brendan Fraser / Rachel Weisz movie from 1999 - I guess I'll skip this one.
