Give me those tiny feet New Mutants, Rob Liefeld!

Haha! I was never a big Liefeld fan but I do love his passion for comics even to this day. Sure I bought his stuff but I was more into McFarlane and Dale Keown of that time. He mostly coasts off Deadpool’s popularity these days though.

If anyone that was into comics of that era want a fun trip down memory lane, check out Cartoonist Kayfabe in YouTube. They do episodes flipping through early Wizard magazines and will even pull out books from that time and briefly discuss them. Its a fun little time capsule.

One of the guys is Ed Piskor who recently did a book called X-Men Grand Designs which is essentially a history of X-Men retelling. It is super dense but covera thongs in chronological order including the retcons.

Loved Dale Keown's Incredible Hulk run, with Peter David writing.

Oh man, that Wizard cover takes me back. I enjoyed those monthlies as much as I enjoyed any comic. I loved how they would spotlight an action figure and roast it, as well as Mort of the Month. I'll definitely watch this later.

I've probably still got stacks of them stored somewhere.

I tossed mine in the recycle bin during a move in the early 2000s. They were beat up. I treated them like disposable magazines, not like comics. I wish i had held onto some of them. My kids would probably love to flip through them.
