The NFL just lost a fan today

He caught it and took 3 steps falling to the ground! They have a rule that says the ground can't cause a fumble, but it can cause an incompletion after a guy takes 3 steps? WTF!

Exactly the way I saw it. He took three steps and stretched out reaching for the goal line. Did he lose control of the ball? Absolutely. But if anything it should have been a fumble that he then recovered himself.

I was expecting that the review would be "stands" and would have been fairly comfortable with that ruling even if they originally ruled it an incompletion. But to overturn the call was pure BS imo.

Yes sir, I looked for an email for goodell, to let him know I'm done with his bizzaro football league. I know he doesn't care, but now I don't either. Packers holding all day to keep that pansy Rodgers safe and then you reverse a catch.

I can promise you that he, nor anyone else gives two ****s.

Dallas shouldn't have been in this game anyway after the pass interference flag that got picked up against Detroit

As said in the NFL forum, this call is magnitudes more devestating. The Lions still had to drop an egg to lose after getting screwed

It's a "fixer" rule, so someone's (whomever 'they' are) preferred team can advance/win. Disgusting. Can't just let em play. I really don't care who wins this game, but wow. Blatant change in the course of game by refs interference. I've always thought that's it's not enough to just play well enough to beat your opponent... You have to play well enough to beat the officials, too. Just wow.

It would be cool if the attendence for NFL games started slipping in a major way. I wonder what they would do?

Well i only saw one replay and I'm unsure but the Packers just took a kneel at the chip shot fg range so they would likely have won anyway.
Feel bad for Witten tho

Also, I don't think that this is what these forums are for. I don't care that the NFL lost a fan today. Just quietly turn your television off and move on. Why is it necessary to tell everyone about it on a University of Tennessee message board?

Don't be that guy

Everybody gets on their high horse acting like this thread will cost us a commitment or get us put on probation ...it gets moved to offtopic or the NFL forum and suddenly realization hits that it's a bunch of fuss over nothing.

If you quit the NFL because of officiating, but remain a college football fan...well, I don't think I need to say what that makes you.

Loved the call, could not have happened to a better guy or team. Dallas should not have even been in this game after those BS calls last weekend. Now we have to listen to the Cowgirls cry about it for the next week....
