The Oakland A's- MLB's ACTUAL AAA team

If people wanna waste their money on a well below average product, that's their problem. A's ownership is a joke. They tank the team on purpose. Trade or let all their star players go elsewhere. Don't even try to win. They just wanna make the A's fans look bad so they can get their way. A's fans deserve much better.

Laughing stock of league last season is playing .500 ball and 1 1/2 games out of first.

Team plays hard give them that much.

Thank you Rickey. Than you Eck. Thank you Chavy, Miggy, Dye, Reddick, The Big Three, Stewart, Welch, Big Mac, Byrnsie, Giambi, Chappy, Matty Olson, Murph, Coco, Cespy, Reddick, Donaldson, Crosby, Scuuts, LaRussa, Howe, Macha, Melvin, Hatty, Braden, Fiers, Foulk, Street, Izzy, Kendall, Balfour, Treinan and on and on. I’ll always be an Oakland A’s fan and love the Oakland green and gold. But it’s never going to be the same.

Screw you John Fisher. You should be ashamed of yourself, but instead you just drown yourself in your personal greed.IMG_3814.jpeg

Moneyball and Billy Beane will always be a testament to Oakland and how they competed.

To say Saturday sucked is an understatement. Interestingly, I met friends Friday in Virginia to drive up to Columbus with. On the way, we discussed what celebrity deaths impacted us the most. As of Friday night, that answer was probably John Prine, maybe Dale Sr, because it was in the midst of quite a few deaths in my life and realized how quickly life disappears. Anyway, we were watching the SMU-PSU game at a tavern when I first saw that there was a Rickey passing hoax. An hour or so later I learned it was real. My answer has most likely now changed. Watching Rickey and Stewart throw out the last Oakland first pitch will forever be in my memory.

Thanks for the link, it was a great read and great account of what made Rickey. RIP to one of my very first athletic heroes
