Not a huge NBA fan, Lebron hopping around and recruiting All-Stars to build rosters has forever changed the game imo.

So Wall with the Rockets and another team in the west to give the Lakers trouble is fantastic!

There was super teams way before LeBron just so ya know.

KD was trying to recruit Harden to the Nets.

This era, every great player wants to team up with other great players.

It’s dumb but that’s the way it is.

Yep. I'd rather see a good GM build a team, like the Warriors did (granted they pulled in KD and turned it up a notch). Guess the NBA just has a different structure for free agency than the NFL, it seems far easier for players to move around.

Folks don't study history anymore! Kareem/Magic/Worthy was unfair back in the day, only thing that ever derailed them was Bird and Isiah. Utah was a super team that never won because of the Lakers.

and the list of super teams can go on to the days when lakers were not in LA and when the NBA included Syracuse, Cincy and STL

Dr J was always my favorite until Jordan came along. I should have included him when discussing great players who beat that Laker dynasty. His dunk on Cooper is still one of the best in game dunks of all-time. His ABA stats were impressive.

Same, I usually like watching players more than any specific team. Curry being one of my favorites, I also enjoy Luka in Dallas.
Not a Curry fan but big fan of Luka, that kid is going to win a championship or 2. Just think how good they would be if they drafted another Luka this next draft.

Too many in ABA for me to put second to Dr J on favorites from such an entertaing league.

Looking back through the haze, the NBA hooked me with guys like Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, John Havlichek and Bob Pettit

Yeah if Dallas makes another good pick they could really build something around him. He's got great size and versatility to make his teammates better. Not to mention they have a pretty good big already too in Kristaps. Just need a good wing defender with some offensive spark (Josh Richardson type)

They just got Richardson in a trade, iIrc

There have always been “super teams” but they were built different than they are now.
Yea it’s a little different than today’s game we’re players just leave in free agency to join stacked teams/make stacked teams. I’m pretty sure Kareem got traded (don’t think they had FA back then iirc) so that entire lakers team, formally mentioned, were either drafted or traded.
