The Official #1 Tennessee @ #3 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

Did you notice any change in UGA’s play calling in the 2nd half?
Not after the first drive. I noticed a fumble on one possession. Negative yardage on first two plays of next possession. A breakup of a 40 yard pass attempt on next possession. Then the end of the game.

I also noticed that Tennessee held the ball for the overwhelming majority of the 2nd half after that first drive by UGA.

If Kirby felt confident putting more on the board he absolutely would have. The thought he took his foot off the gas against the #1 team at a time when style points matter is ludicrous

Styles point do matter win your going to be the undefeated SEC champion going into the CFP..

UGA scored every point they needed to win the game comfortably. If it makes you feel better by saying it was a 2 score game, so be it.

It has zero to do with making me feel better. You’re argument is delusional. Georgia scored all that they could against us. We got beat. No doubt they were better last Saturday but you people acting like they could name their score but decided not to are ludicrous. Perhaps our halftime adjustments slowed down what they did in the first half… just maybe? No team in the country would feel comfortable enough with a 3 score lead in the 3rd QTR against any offense like ours. They were so comfortable that they fumbled on purpose in the second half as well….right? And they just wanted to get their punter some additional practice.

You already asked the question and it was answered. Play calling changes based in success and field position.
Ever see a basketball team hit 8 of 11 3 pointers in the first half? If they shoot 1 for 7 in the second half does that mean they just took their foot off the gas? Lol

Nobody has answered the question.

Yes they did. The only dofference was they connected on the 2 deep balls in the first half and had better field position. It’s really that simple. No coach is taking their foot off the gas with more than 8 minutes left in a game like that…. Ever.

Hmmm......do the stats back that opinion up? How many passes did Bennett throw in the 1st half? I know he threw 4 in the 2nd half.

That was very well written. Much respect. To be clear. I don't wish harm to any player and I understand 99% of fans don't either. It's a sad minority that does. (Remainder redacted)

You and I find a place of total agreement. I've really never met a fan of any program, in person or on a sports forum like this, that hopes for any of these kids to get hurt. If there are fans like that out there, then I want nothing to do with them.
