The Official #1 Tennessee @ Kentucky Thur-Sat Game Thread (Thur. 7PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Fri. 6:30PM EST SEC NETWORK+) (Sat. 2PM EST SEC NETWORK +)

I’m just glad we have CTV and CFA to make those decisions. 👍😀. I like the idea of Burns for game 1, piggy backing Blade and Dollander for game 2 until both are closer to 100%, and then Drew for game 3. Our bullpen is so loaded as I’d hate to figure out the proper formula for giving those guys innings to keep them sharp. Good problem to have for sure. 😀👍

I like your plan, especially since Thursday should be our only chance to attend a game to see Burns pitch.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. In the games at Lexington, we gave up 3, 5, and 2 runs in three games totaling 39 innings. Pitching wasn't the problem in the two losses. So, I'd keep the same rotation of starters and relievers at least until we clinch the SEC pennant, then would cut down on innings per start from 100 max to 50-60. And then give front line and back line relievers and Dolly some more innings and get the front line players and pitchers well rested but still engaged and ready for Hoover. I wouldn't start Dolly over Blade, keep it the same for now.

BTW, Preacherman, I was thinking of you as all of those negas were coming out of the woodwork over the last weekend. Glad you weren't involved.
Any changes I made wouldn’t be because I see a problem but to make sure we are at our best for post season.
I might consider piggybacking Burns and Beam to keep their innings down. They‘re young and probably thrown more that they ever have before.
‘But hey, I’m a car salesman….not a pitching coach.

Guinness, Coors light, Peroni, Lagunitas lil sumpin, Pacifico, Birra Morreti...
I like lighter beers but some people like a Guinness or IPA with their steak.
GBO!!
Love getting my online education at VolNation! Birra Morreti was a new name to me, so I had to look it up.

Nope. I've never seen it around here, but I'll keep my eye out for it now. I have had Guinness Harp and Stella Artois, which I think are of the same classification, but it wasn't with steak. How do they compare to the Morreti?

Steak is a rare treat for me, so I figure the occasion deserves a splurge on the accompanying drink. And I'm with you on lighter bodied beers, especially with a meal. But also want enough flavor that can stand on its own and bring out the best of the steak.

These are so far the best I've had with steak, carrying lots of flavor without getting heavy. The Innis & Gunn Red was great, but may be retired now--wish I'd bought 'em out! The Avery quad fits the taste bill, though with a higher ABV. Steak and a nap. The dunkel is a cheaper but able fallback, and IMHO the best thing Yee Haw brews.

Thanks for broadening my Birra-wareness, cobbwebb!

My preferred beer for red meat like steak is something called wine. (BTW, I don't always drink beer, but when I do I prefer Dos Equis)
You're right--wine is definitely the way to go with steak. But my palate exceeds my spending limits, so I've tried to achieve that same breadth of experimentation and enjoyment on the craft beer aisle. (A public thanks is in order to Beverage World in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. The guys and ladies there are very knowledgeable, friendly, eager to assist in every way, and their selection is incredible!)

Was treated to a "retirement" dinner over the weekend, and the host knew his wines! He paired them wonderfully against 7 courses, and it exceeded anything I'd ever tasted or imagined! (A quick shout out to St. John's Restaurant in Chattanooga for amazing taste creations, and an experience I'll never forget.)

If you haven't been to Chattanooga in a while, y'all really need to come spend a weekend here. Lots to offer, beyond the obvious tourist places.

Love me some Nooga. (And, as long as I'm talking, might as well confess I have had beer with steak. Forget the pairing. But I wasn't crazy about it. Maybe just didn't have the right advisors like you. Bon apetit!!)

I lurked but carefully. Took a lot of willpower but it was a miserable weekend. On top of bad baseball I lost my wallet in Lexington. Had to borrow money from a college kid. :) I'm sure I won't live that one down for a while. Having to replace everything is as bad as watching that mess this weekend in the miserable weather. On top of all that I rode my motorcycle so fun times in the rain.

I need a countdown timer.
How many more hours until the Dong party?
