Just because a coach takes a bullet for his team doesn’t mean he means it.

It was a mistake to leave Beam in regardless of the reasoning. And if Tony V admits he made a mistake then well he isn’t much of a coach speak guy. From all the interviews I have heard post game, pre game, various media outlets etc. yeah coaches sometimes take one for the team. Vitello doesn’t mince words.

And coaches certainly make mistakes. Vitello makes less than most. Best coach on campus IMO. I also believe it’s ok to critique coaching decisions. I receive regular critical analysis of my job performance micro and macro level.

Tony is excellent. But he too makes mistakes.

You will note by my posts in this forum lean heavy in support of Tony V and these Vols.
