Nope. Ever seen a pitcher yanked in the 1st inning? I have. A zillion times. Wanna know what their pitch counts were? Some less than 10 pitches. It’s just a stat dude.

I may be old schooled ..but when I played I hated to lose anything ..I don't get when ppl say a loss is good for us... no loss is good...it might come back to hurt in national seeding purposes... now lets go score some runs

Agree 100%. That’s why older coaches struggle emotionally more imo than younger ones. Saban, Urban, Harbaugh, Belichek (sp), etc.

The same with prior players like Manning, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic, etc.
Baseball is a different game and I can’t speak for their players and coaches as I don’t watch MLB. I understand you can’t win them all but I despise losing, esp to arch rivals.
