What stats? Vandy was 2 hit by us and AU in b2b weekends. In their last 9 SEC games they’ve scored 2 or less 6x. This isn’t a dominant hitting Vandy team by any stretch.

Maybe they aren’t clutch with runners on base, but they are second in batting average and top 5 in slugging and on-base percentage. 3 of those 6 games where they scored 2 or less were against us. 6 of 9 (not against us) they’ve scored 6+.

It’s one game and one series. Baseball is a contagious sport in that one hit can start things off while one error can lead to numerous errors. Vols just need to keep their minds right and not lose confidence.

Mizzou, TN Tech and now Bama made contact during most at bats, esp early in the game(s).

I had no idea Vandy was 2nd in the conference then again they are what 4th in the East ? They looked horrible against our Pitching staff. Which burns is a part of. I am not railing on Burns but he has not looked good his last two starts. I think he is a hreat talent and has the tools and will pitch in MLB. But for whatever reason he hasn't had as much success locating his pitches his last two outings. I am not Vitello I don't make the decisions. What I was attempting was to have a conversations about other options. My apologies
