In my only meeting, Coach just walked out and said to throw low and inside. 1st pitch, I hit my spot with the fastball, it landed somewhere on the other side of left center. It was a line drive way up in the sky and just as far away from the plate. Apparently our scouting reports where lacking. The guy played a lot of golf too, said he used his golf swing. Hind sight, I was not ready for a comeback. One of my best throws for sure. My best throw ever was before a game. My son and I were walking up to the field when a squirrel size target was spotted. My son doubted I could hit a squirrel size target 50 yards away. With no warm up, if that squirrel size target hadn’t moved at the last instant, dead center.


The question reminds me of the movie Bull Durham.

What’s our number to clench SEC season title? 5 is what I’ve come up with.
