Because that’s not how their pitchers pitch. That’s not something you can just decide to do one day. Gannaway was using a 2 knuckle grip on a slider that was pretty unusual.

Bama had one pitcher who pitches similarly and he was used Friday.

The biggest problems in those 2 games, were the umps strike zone against the VOLS. We're capable of losing games without the umps liberal strike zone against the VOLS.
