The Official #1 Tennessee vs LSU SEC Tournament Game Thread (Time TBD SEC Network)

Sitting in Valdosta overnight, going to Orlando, family vacation. Proudly rocking a Mike honcho shirt by the pool. Whole family is provoking dog and gator fans, and asking is football all you guys know? The two twenty year old girls being by far the most vocal. Chanting We bleed orange!!!! Can't wait for the game too start.

I hope you bring Honcho some good mojo tonight. He needs to remind the corn dogs who their daddy is.

We’re the home team, right? I hate that I even have to ask but tournament baseball can be very weird with how they determine home/away. Higher seed not always the home team.
I couldn’t find anything but this….

Home/away designation
The team designated as the "home" team alternates between division champions. The designation goes to the East champion in even-numbered years and the West champion in odd-numbered years.

After the 2020 contest, the designated "home" team is 16–13 overall in SEC championship games.

In 2009, the West champion, Alabama, was the home team, ending a streak where the SEC West team had worn white jerseys in nine consecutive SEC Championship Games (2000–2008). This was because LSU had represented the West in the previous four seasons that the West Division champion was the "home" team, and LSU traditionally chooses to wear white jerseys for home games. Additionally, for the next three years (2010–2012), the East Division representative wore their home jerseys because in 2011, LSU again represented the West;[4] this happened again from 2018-2020 since LSU represented the West in 2019.

Dumb. We’re the #1 overall seed in the winner’s bracket. Both LSU and Tennessee have played just 1-game. How do you give the 4-seed that advantage? Baseball seeding always gets under my skin. You play an entire season. That should matter.
