The Official #1 Tennessee vs LSU SEC Tournament Game Thread (Time TBD SEC Network)

and their 4th in the tournament which should make them thin on pitching

Kentucky will be in worse shape in the pen, but LSU would have played the 10pm-2am window both Thursday and Friday nights, then turned around and played a nooner on Saturday and then back for the late night Saturday game again. Just a crazy grind.

This format is weird in that we could have no losses in the tournament but lose tomorrow night to a team we beat tonight and get eliminated
The problem is with trying to accommodate 12 teams in a double elimination tournament. I don't think there is a good way to do it. This should either be an 8 team field, or just make the whole thing single game elimination and let all 14 teams in.

My very brief post game report:

Great atmosphere, great game, LSU fans are classy but come game time it’s ON and Vols fans held their own as well. Pretty tense in the 5th but the BaseVols got em back in short order and Dollander pitched great as did Mac, Kirby and Redmond. Offense came up big when it needed to and though we had a couple errors, the defense had some great moments, big ones! It was a long day but a super fun day!

GBO!!!

I think my stream is a little behind.

What did they call on number six? If it had been interference he would have been out
Apparently there’s 2 types of interference: batters box and back swing. Since the hitter didn’t step out of batters box, it was ruled interference by his back swing so runner had to go back to first. The former would have been an out. At least that’s what the announcers said. 👍🍊
