I'd have started Burns ahead of Tidwell. Just my observation. I really don't get it because they were easing Tidwell back into the line-up while Burns had been steadily smokin' the entire season. I simply don't like moving Burns out of the original rotation especially when Tidwell was pitching in relief during his comeback. I'd go Burns followed by Kirby then hopefully close with Walsh. If they start Beam be ready to jerk him early. They left Tidwell in way too long in game 1, imo.Give me Burns because he IS one of the BEST pitchers in all of College Baseball. You gotta put them on the big stage to know what they can do and the guy has 9 wins this year. He has also faced a lot of really good teams. Beams last two outtings havent been great either. Have Sewell ready to go behind him and Beam along with the others. Those guys helped get us where we are and they deserve a shot.
I agree but we are not the coaches. After HR #2 for Tidwell yesterday I would have went another direction. That would have given us a better chance. But lets be honest its all hindsight now.I'd have started Burns ahead of Tidwell. Just my observation.
