He wasn't overworked. Leo Mazzone with Bobby's blessing was ahead of the times on pitch counts and the like. Injuries do happen when everything is being handled right and even over cautiously like Soroka.He was overworked during his first couple of years and ended up tearing his left oblique (pitching side) and he was never the same after that.
moot because he never got on base. original comment was based on an improbable assumptionYeah, Seth has been doing fine but Dickey just fits better in the lead off spot IMO. He really works at bats and forces pitchers to use a lot of pitches, plus he gets on base. Better power, too. Not as fast and not a threat to steal like Seth but man Jared was doing amazing before the injury.
