Taking care of horses is easy. If they can hurt themselves in the most obscure way, that will cost the most to treat, they will do it. We had three. Down to one now.Lucky for me my mom is a professional. She grew up riding and training horses. Her, my grandmother and my aunt. I’ve got the riding down pat but I’ll definitely need the guidance on equine care and nature.
Just went to JH for the first time in March…will definitely go back out that way for the rest of my life. Told my wife, I think I could learn to tolerate the cold if that was my view every day. I thought I had seen beautiful places but nothing comes close to what I saw out there; stepped off the plane onto the tarmac and was literally in awe. I had never seen the “West” until then and I can’t think of anywhere I’ve ever been that tops it. I’ve always been a beach/tropics person but WY changed my perception. We go to Idaho on the Wyoming border. There’s a little town called Driggs that is just on the other side of the Teton Pass from JH. They have everything you need and it doesn’t cost us nearly as much to rent places there as it does in JH. Really quiet little town situated between 2 mountain ranges. Absolutely beautiful, too!
