I had my little boy at the game today. I told him he saw something special gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek. Awesome to see this with him today.

I was quite moved. The water works didn't come on until I saw everyone around me in Neyland tearing up!

No streaming tears, but after that field goal went through and watching them boys celebrate - I did get some misty eyes. I was turned away from my girlfriend though so she will never know

I've liked and respected you since the days when I actually had time to post in The Zone man. Glad to see TN football coming back to the point when some of my favorite posters are coming back to football talk.

Lest others take this wrong, the zoners are not bandwagon fans......they just chose not to take part in the crazy (stupid) conversations of the last three years. They have my respect. :hi:
Been a long lonely ride back to having a real "football" team. You're welcome in da zone whenever you wanna stop by.

At first I was like "Act like we've been here before" but seeing the celebration and Coach Jones leading the band and all the emotion of FINALLY doing something BIG for the first time in a long while...I was getting choked up myself.

NOT because we beat Carolina..as if it was the greatest win ever, but because it feels like UT football was down in the dumpster and through will power and defying the odds we have collectively announced to the naysayers. "We're back beyotches".

I flung open a window and gave a "WOOO!!!" to the whole neighborhood that Flair would be proud to call his own. My hands were shaking...crazy emotion and almost shed one right there.

What got me was seeing the VFL hordes running through the "T" and the post game vid of Butch climbing the ladder to belt out Rocky Top and do a little conducting.

Great day, and yeah I shed one. GBO!

Lots of crying. Brought the whole family down in the basement to watch the game winner. Also made a promise to make mass with everyone Sunday morning.

I didn't get misty eyed until I watched the post game videos of the team, fans, and coaches celebrating. When you have played the game (even at the high school level) and you have experienced that kind of euphoria (and if you are a life long Vol fan), it just gets to you sometimes.

I got a little misty, was so happy for these kids all of us have at one time or another thrown Worley & palardy under the bus. It was the best crow I have ever had!

How long have we languished? How long have those young men in orange languished? As soon as I saw them begin to celebrate, the old eyes went wet. So proud of this team! It's great to be a Tennessee VOL!
