The Official #10 Tennessee vs ETSU Tuesday Game Thread (First Pitch @ 6:30PM)

The reason those games get so chippy is because half of ETSU wanted to be recruited by UT and wear the orange so they feel like they were shorted or dissed by UT and are probably UT fans in every other sport and have lots of orange in their closets. 1/4 of them were in conversations with UT and at least 4 of them committed to UT at some point but never made it to campus. Some were recruited by the previous coaching staff and others were in conversations with the current staff but were told they would not contribute early on and if they were wanting to play as freshmen and probably sophomores they needed to go somewhere else which has played out to be the truth. So they come to LNS to make a point.
They are also/have been in the past willing to do whatever to win. When Skole was there, on multiple occasions they would throw their Friday starter on Tuesday to get a win against UT. They bragged in recruiting how many times they had beaten UT as part of their recruiting, which I would do also as a mid-major. Fun game. Glad we got the win. I don't read or comment while son is on the field just in case. ETSU was his downfall last year so he was determined last night.

Oh yeah, that's exactly the reason. When I signed with Tennessee and got slighted by UF, I was pissed. I grew up right outside Gainesville and always wanted to be a Gator. I took it personal and wanted nothing more than to destroy them when we played. When we swept them in Gainesville in 95 I was as happy as I'd ever been.
