The Official #10 Tennessee vs. Tennessee Tech Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, SEC Network+

I said 5 Vols could be drafted into the NBA next year, about 2 months ago and got laughed at. I hope it doesn't happen, but Fulk, Pons, Keon, Springer and JJJ could possibly make it happen. I think Pons will be taken in the 2nd round, for sure. If, any or all of JJJ, Keon and Springer decide to go pro, all will be drafted, Keon and Springer in the first round, probably, JJJ in the 2nd round. Fulk is the only one I'm not sure of, but u only need one team to fall in love with him and his game. But, when it's all said and done, 3 Vols get drafted, Pons, Springer and Keon, imo.

Would be great for our program

I will say this, Keon & Springer both should absolutely return if they are graded in the top 15.

Both should be fringe lottery picks & if they aren’t graded that way there’s no reason to leave imo.

This upcoming draft is very deep. Right now, neither Pons nor Fulky would sniff getting drafted. Key phrase being “right now.”

Pons is still elite defensively, but it doesn’t seem he has made much progress, if any, on the offensive side of the ball which is exactly what the scouts want to see from him. If he doesn’t get more consistent, he’s going to have to sign a two-way undrafted contract and scrap to make a team.

I love Fulk, Pons, Ticket, Vescovi, Bailey and Keon, but Springer is my dog, if he stays at UT long enough, he may even pass Tony White as my all-time favorite Vol.

Considering the misery all of us, have had to endure, thanks to football, this basketball team is a Godsend. I kinda hoped one of Springer or Keon would struggle a little, so we could get 2 years out of one or both of them. But, I doubt it, now. I think UT has two 5 stars that play like 5 stars and the reward for that, is probably, 2 players that are one and done

Watching the replay I caught the comment about trying to get Villanova and UT tonight in MSG. Any word on other potential games that arent scheduled already?

They both look terrific so far. I'm excited to see what they do vs stronger more experienced competition. I just hope we don't lose 3 early to the draft as that would sting.

Not a whole lot to say, as we destroyed as vastly inferior team. If we can get even 75% of our offensive rhythm that we had this game, there are not many, if any, teams that can beat us. The Freshman are gaining confidence each game.

If you get a first round grade you 1000% enter the draft...

Our defense is just so good. We are 2nd in opponents points per game 47. We are 6th in opponents field goal percentage. We also seem to be rebounding much better this year as well.

Vastly inferior is the key word. I'm not sure you can take anything from this game other than we took care of business. We could have had an intersquad scrimmage and got better development.

The best thing you take from it was getting to go up and down the court against another team and work on chemistry and defensive and offensive sets. Try different combinations without to much worry. And more film to help all the guys improve any way they can. The thing I am seeing that we havent really seen from any Barnes teams. A killer instinct. These guys just kept putting the hammer down all night. I think the freshman playing so hard has made the others step up their game to not be out hustled.

I noticed an interesting stat this morning. SRS, which is a calculation using strength of schedule and point differential was updated on Sports Reference. Gonzaga had been first in that category, and rightfully so. Now, Tennessee is first which is pretty awesome.

You can't simulate in an intrasquad game what occurs in a live game. Tennessee has had a boatload of those and needs a live game every chance they get.
