The Official #10 Tennessee vs. Tennessee Tech Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, SEC Network+

Only reason I kept Vescovi in there is because I think Springer and Johnson play better off the ball than running point. I agree JJJ has been fantastic this year so far, few complaints with his play. But, I'm not yet sold that Barnes wants Springer or Johnson running the point.

Couldn't JJJ just run the point? It's what he did before he came here.

He certainly can, but it doesn't seem that he is as comfortable with that as Vescovi. I think it's all just preference, I'm not sure how much drop-off you'd have between the two running the point, but from what I've seen it definitely seems like JJJ is most comfortable at the 3.

Someone help me understand why we sag so much on D and give up so many open 3’s.

A better team, like Auburn, will take advantage.

Those that say Pons should have went ahead to the draft should be thankful he stayed. He is quietly having a great game.
Very glad he stayed. His defense can’t be replicated, he can completely make up for a break down somewhere else on the defense side. Improved rebounding so far it seems like too.

Feels like that hasn't been much of a problem until this game. I haven't noticed in the other games, compared to this one, where we left the 3 open as often. May just be trying something different against them. There seems to be a lot more double this game. Trapping them against the baseline, stuff like that.
