This is ridiculous. 9 turnovers. Santi can’t shoot, ON missing foul shots, and ZZ turning it over. Plus, we are shooting 20% from three.

I agree w the ESPN commentator that Barnes must bench one of the bigs and go small as our offense is “skunk.”

Awaka and Aidoo give us points off the glass but ON needs to ride the pine. Idk what’s up with Santi, and Key is not a SEC player.

Idk how but TN needs the win and then get to Saturday Vs USCjr. Maybe JJJ and Phillips will bring something when they return but rt now, this team is regressing.

Think it was because Uros had a guard on him and he gave up post position leading to the turnover. Should’ve burried his man

We just look like a low basketball IQ team. Ziegler with 4 first half turnovers. Vescovi had a couple of bad turnovers as well. And again - free throws. 4-7 with two of those misses being front ends. Basically 4-9. Meanwhile A&M is 10-12. Free throws, free throws, free throws.

Getting Mashack and Aidoo back should help us on the defensive end in the second half. Throw Mashack on Taylor and see if we can keep him in check. Gotta cut out the dumb turnovers and hope we can keep the game an ugly slug fest.

To be fair, Awaka, ON, Key, ZZ, & Santi isn’t really a great offensive lineup.

Need our bigs to keep it up and guards to start hitting shots in second half.

Well, I was not one of those crazily trumpeting the metrics in January, maybe there were some homers on this board doing that?

As far as shooting tonight, better than the UK first half, but still need improvement. Is it just me, or did Santi turn down a few open shots to drive and kick? Seems confusing to me.

Also, not sure, but it looks like they are not passing it to Key when he is open sometimes. I know he has been cold lately, but he can get hot and that could be the 'key' to a win.

Seems like after Aidoo and Shack went to the bench, the team deflated alot. They've got to stay out of foul trouble in the second half

I think with Mashack/Aidoo awakening, Awaka getting better and the return of JJJ and Phillips-- we are going to be a much better team in March then this screwed up February. I hope.

Well I dont think someone showing metrics is a homer. They are inherently objective measurements, even if ultimately misleading
And obviously part of it is play style. Watching terrible offense and great defense seems alot more frustrating than the opposite. So we're a team that is overhyped and plays an aesthetically ugly game, so it incurs alot of (unjustified) anger, imo. ON gets alot of deserved grief though, his effort and temperament is ridiculous (in a bad way).

Just got home...looks like the overwhelming view of UT fans is Tennessee is not a very good team but, we can turn on a dime and win this game. Fingers crossed for second half. Good to see the baseball Vols are back on the winning side of play. GBO!

When they get 7 fouls on us in 2nd half & start going to FT line every other possession that’s where the game will be lost ( Adams calling it will happen)unless we can shoot+ 40% from 3

Hope so, but it also just turns into a crapshoot, and a single elimination tournament is not the best place to integrate newly healthy players back into the rotation
