Cal doesn’t have multiple championships. Barnes has only been to the NCAAT about 24 times with 4 different schools. We aren’t exactly a basketball blue blood, so paying money to keep a coach is fine with me.

I didn’t necessarily mean exact same salary.
He’s the fourth or fifth highest paid coach. He makes more than Roy Williams and you tell me who is more successful. Sorry if I expect more consistency from a guy that doesn’t have Roy Williams Resumé yet getting fed more money.

The question still remains. Can we play well on back to back games? As much fun it is to beat Kentucky, it isn’t as if they are impressive this year. Beat Florida and play in the manner we “should” be playing than perhaps we have turned a corner. Clearly we should play through Keon and Jaden the rest of the way and push tempo.

Would you rather try and go up and comer like we’ve been doing for football the past few decades, or pay up for a good coach? Pretty easy decision for me. Barnes is worth whatever we’re paying him.
