Sure hope the passing game comes alive today....
I think it will look a lot more like the OU, Arky and UF games until the score forces us to try and open up the offense. I think Heupel will turtle up, go old school, and rely on the running game, special teams and defense until bama forces him out of his shell.

I hope not because unlike those 3 Bama can hit explosives and score from anywhere. They are feast and famine so hopefully we stop them more often then we get stuffed on O

By the time he's forced it's too late. I wish tempo would return so we could witness a few Kiffin Time Outs from Bama

I agree. These coaches see these guys in practice every day - they know what they have. And right now, UT has an oline that’s just not very good. Ainge stated that when you look at film and focus on the problem area - our tackles - Campbell is actually ok when healthy. But he consistently commits dumb penalties. He went on to say Heard is simply a guard playing tackle who looks to be out of shape due to prior injuries. Bottom line - Heard is probably out of position and out of shape and Campbell is only “serviceable” while making drive killing penalties.

CJH really has no choice other than playing it conservative.

The only way UT wins this game is by running the ball well, playing great defense, limiting penalties, and turning Bama over multiple times. Somehow Nico has to throw at least one TD pass . . . And it’s likely that we will need a defensive score somewhere along the way.

Vandy may very well have a better oline than UT this year.

SERIES HISTORY

Alabama leads series, 60-39-7
Saturday will mark the 107th meeting all-time between Tennessee and Alabama as the two teams have played every season since 1928 with the exception of 1943 due to World War II.

The Vols will look to recreate the magic from the last meeting between the two programs inside of Neyland Stadium, a 52-49 Tennessee victory that snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Tide and was the Vols' first victory in the series since Oct. 21, 2006. It was the most points scored by UT in the series and the most points Alabama had allowed in any game since a 54-4 defeat to Sewanee in 1907.

That is probably the biggest lead that an SEC opponent has against Tennessee in any series history.

Well, today’s my birthday. I’m preparing for the loss because it happens more often than not this time of year. The double whammy this year is especially cruel. Sine I live in middle TN, I’ll have to hear about it from both the bama and vandy fans!

Happy Birthday! We only get one of these per year, so you might as well be excited and enjoy it, good buddy.

GBO!
